Widescreen Review Magazine
During my employment at Widescreen Review Magazine -- as Associate Editor -- my job responsibilities included
writing the monthly new equipment column entitled "Coming Soon To A Retailer Near You;" covering and reporting on industry conventions and events; writing very technical audio reviews on over 40 DVDs and D-VHS titles per month; writing engaging and detailed equipment/gear reviews; writing on the consumer electronics industry; updating the news headlines and news stories from the consumer electronics industry (and beyond) for the magazine's website; effectively supervising the on-location staff in addition to coordinating writing assignments with offsite editors; starting the re-design of the magazine's new visual format; working with PR Representatives and Senior Management throughout the Consumer Electronics industry; editing the entire magazine before each issue was sent to printer; effectively networking within the Consumer Electronics industry to bring greater awareness and opportunity for the magazine; effectively working and networking with the other magazines editorial staff within the Consumer Electronics industry; and basically doing whatever was necessary for the magazine to succeed, prosper, and grow.
My actual body of work, while at Widescreen Review Magazine, totaled over 450 clips.

DVD Etc. Magazine
Unfortunately, with the demise of DVD Etc., this article is no longer available online. My "Confessions of a DVD Junkie" article in DVD Etc. Magazine was published in the November, 2003 issue and was a huge success resulting in close to three dozen positive letters to the editor.
AudioVideoForum.com
Unfortunately, AudioVideoForum.com is no more. In the 1-2 years I worked for AudioVideoForum.com, I had a total of 57 clips to my credit. These 57 clips included 48 DVD reviews, 7 articles that covered various show reports including the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) convention, the Video Software Dealers Association (VSDA) show, and the Home Entertainment Expo (HE Expo), as well as 2 equipment reviews. AudioVideoForum.com certainly was a great little site while it lasted, and subsequently my hard work on this website -- as reviewer, journalist, and reporter --definitely helped me get the position of Associate Editor at Widescreen Review Magazine .
Happy Halloween Magazine
My "A Halloween Adventure: Knott's Scary Farm's Halloween Haunt" article in the Winter 2002 Issue of Happy Halloween Magazine is no longer available online, but if you click on the above referenced article, it will take you to the Happy Halloween Magazine website. My article is still listed on the website, but my last name is incorrectly spelled as "Kerr," not "Kern."
DVDFile.com
During the 2001 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), I was hired to report on the world's largest annual Consumer Electronics trade show for this DVD and Consumer Electronics news website. Listed below are the links to my work online:
About.com
Here it is, my first-ever article that I wrote for a mainstream publication (online or traditional print media). It is, of course, somewhat rough around the edges but I still think it was pretty good for a first effort. So without further adieu, here is the link:
